Sculpture Demo
This was a sculpture I started to teach my students the basics in figure sculpting. At this stage, we focused on the importance of making convincing gestures and poses. More pictures will come up as I finish it.
Ilu Ologun Sculpt
One of the first sculptures I did during my stay in L.A. I can't wait to do a digital sculpt of him, but there's other work to get out of the way first!
Origins 1 Book Samples
Here's some art from the story section from the first book of Legends of Onile. The work was grueling, but I'm very proud of the outcome:)
Ilu Ologun Concpets Pt 2
And here we are with the 3d model. 3d sculpting is a wonderful tool to use in conjunction with illustration. With this, I can see what this character could like if he was to be animated.
Akala
They are some of the villains from the story. I wanted them to look very menacing and I think it worked out well enough:)
Ina Ologun (Fire Warrior)
These are designs for Adisa, the Ina Ologun, which translates to Fire Warrior. He starts off as a small creature, but transforms into a battle form when he feels threatened. I had a tremendous amount of fun in drawing this character and I can't wait to animate him in the future!
Ilu Sculpt
Here's a sculpture I created when I was conceptualizing the characters from Legends of Onile. This would be the start of it all, lol!
Ilu Ologun
An Ilu Ologun from the series; their name literally means drum warrior. I went for a more dynamic pose with this one.
River Spirit
Hello! Welcome to the new blog! Since this is the beginning, I decided to start off with a few pieces I've done for Legends of Onile. This illustration is a silhouette of the Aje or River Spirits, a group of benevolent beings with vast magical powers.
